Let’s Viet tournament to kick off this month

HÀ NỘI — Boxing and traditional martial arts tournament Let’s Viet Championship  二0 一 七 is scheduled to be held this month in HCM City.

The traditional martial arts event kicks off on April  二 三 and the boxing event begins on April  三0.

Each event will comprise eight weight categories for both men and women, aged between  一 八 and  三 五. Martial artists will compete in knock-out round format.

The championships will be aired live on Let’s Viet (channel VTC 九).

The Việt Nam Martial Arts Federation, the Military Martial Arts Federation and the National Sports Administration will coordinate to hold the event.

Although the event has been taking place for only four years, it has contributed many talented athletes to Việt Nam sports, such as Huỳnh Ngọc Tân who won the men’s boxing title for four years in a row, Hà Thị Linh who triumphed in women’s boxing in  二0 一 五 and  二0 一 六, and Ngũ Thị Thuyết, winner of martial arts in  二0 一 五 and  二0 一 六. — VNS
